2009 Cool Truck Show was a huge success!
We raised $14,986 dollars!
 

   Shriners Hospitals for Children is a one-of-a-kind international health care system of 22 hospitals dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing specialty pediatric care, innovative research and outstanding teaching programs.
   Children up to age 18 are eligible for care at Shriners Hospitals for Children, if, in the opinion of our physicians, there is a reasonable possibility they can benefit from the specialized services available. Admission is based solely on a child's medical needs. A family's income or insurance status are not criteria for a child's acceptance as a patient. There is no charge for services provided within Shriners Hospitals for Children facilities.

Orthopedic Care

   Shriners Hospitals for Children has been a leader in pediatric orthopedic care since 1922. The hospitals specializing in orthopedics are dedicated to providing medical and rehabilitative services to children with congenital deformities, problems resulting from orthopedic injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system.

Burn Care

   The Shriners Hospitals specializing in burns have been leaders in burn care and research since opening in the mid-1960s. Treatment is provided for burn injuries and related scarring, along with physical and emotional rehabilitation.

Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation

   In the early 1980s, Shriners Hospitals for Children opened the nation's first spinal cord injury rehabilitation centers specifically designed for kids. There, patients find a complete range of services needed in order to recover to the fullest extent possible.

Cleft Lip and Palate Care 

  Cleft lip and palate was added to the health care system's treatment disciplines in 2005. Services available at Shriners

    As I sit here about to wright thank you 's to all who attended this year's show ,I can't help but think about all of the kids & families in Mexico who were affected by the fire over the weekend. What little part we as a trucking family have now played in their lives by giving our proceeds and hearts to the Shriners Children's Hospital Of Northern California. None of us ever want to be where these families are at this point in our lives,but the hospital will take care of these kids as if they lived next door to you or me .
     People have always asked me why the Shriners, now you all know why. I'm not one of the guys in the funny hats ,just a person who like to see kids happy & healthy . We all take for granted the health of our kids until something like this happens.That is why none of us need to ever walk with our heads hung low ,always walk with your head held high knowing that in some way we all as group may be helping these kids right now.

    I think at this time you all should know that next year the show will be The Shriners Cool Truck Show. I know that a lot of you came to me during the show and said --Bob ,you put on a great show ! It wasn't me that did it,I'm just the guy that said let's have a party --you are the ones that made it fun! Thanks to the City of Galt ,California for all their
help also.
